How much knowledge has been lost to the colonizer’s torch? How many libraries have fallen to a change of dynasty? How many powerful rituals have been erased by religion’s minions? The answer is that the knowledge our authorities give us access to today is a shadow of what’s been known by humanity for millennia. People who carried thousands of years of oral history have been subjected to genocide, places of learning have been destroyed in tactical warfare, languages that carried the secrets of the universe were erased by hegemonic power. This is the cavern of knowing that Infera Bruo‘s new album Rites Of The Nameless aims to dive into. With a relentless, heavy black metal soul, Infera Bruo opens a portal to our own vicious fear of anything unknown to us. Often that unknown lies within us, and rather than shine a light on it to reflect on its purpose, we externalize it, we exclude it, and we eliminate it. Infera Bruo’s music invites us to shred the veil of illusion and let the ancient knowledge rise in us. The album releases via Prosthetic Records on October 16th – pre-order it here. Right now, we’re excited to share the full album with you right here, so hit play on Rites Of The Nameless, tap into your inner alchemist, and feel the blackened sonic pain:
