London, like Vancouver, is a city of grey skies…sometimes it can feel as if the landscape is frozen in time for months on end – seasons come and go, but the clouds remain. So I feel a special kinship with the melancholy that VOICES bring with their newest full length, London. They conjure a bleak, grey and hopeless soundscape, inspired by the “urban and hostile” South London streets. London is beautiful and furious, frustrated and self-assured. The album is out Jan. 27th via Candlelight Records and can be picked up here. Hit play below and walk the ancient stones of London.
