This Friday April 26, 2019, Sentient Ruin and Babylon Doom Cult Records will release another mindfuck chapter in the insane saga of multinational experimental black metal deviants 夢遊病者 (AKA “Sleepwalker”). Titled “Ѫ” (“Yus” – for the meaning, go here) the brand new EP comes packed with the band’s signature whirlwind of black metal, noise rock, and ritualistic psychedelia, and then some, elevating the band’s already completely insane formula to an entire new level of mindfuckery. Taking influence from a seemingly never ending string of influences ranging from raw black metal, to noise rock, drone, ambient, folk, ritualistic noise, industrial, hardcore punk, and bizarre forms of folklore, lore, and exotic rituals, 夢遊病者 have created a world entirely their own where antithetic genres collide to deceive the senses, and improvisation and experimentalism are taken to a brutal and uncompromising new extreme were unpredictability is tyrannical and expectations destroyed altogether. Within, the essence of bands like Lurker of Chalice, Oranssi Pazuzu, Negative Plane, Volhan and other bizarre and twisted black metal entities is projected against a backdrop of aberrant noisy psychedelia and ritualistic mayhem that defies logic and annihilates the synapses.
