Witness BAPTISTS Light the Beacon of Faith!

Taylor Ferguson

Earlier this year, Vancouver’s BAPTISTS released their third full-length on Southern Lord, Beacon of Faith. Baptists are hometown heroes and their Vancouver shows have a reputation for getting rowdy, and their album release show was as wild as any. Our comrade Taylor Ferguson was on hand to capture the frenzied beats of Nick Yacyshyn, the bloodthirsty screeches of Andrew Drury, the massive riffing of Danny Marshall and the chest-crushing bass of Shawn Hawryluk as they played their new songs for a ravenous crowd already riled up by IDLE HANDS. Check out our photos below – and I recommend you hit play on the new album below for full effect…order it here.

Meghan MacRae grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but spent many years living in the remote woods. Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey. She is co-founder of CVLT Nation.
