Have you heard of #NoWanks? It’s apparently the only kind of wanking the Proud Boys don’t allow in their cult. By all means, be a total piece of shit—just don’t make yourself cum.
I’m not saying alt-right dudes don’t get laid, but have you seen one of these hate marches? There are Confederate flags, Nazi flags, Blue Line flags, and a ratio of about 20:1 men to women. It’s a total sausage party, so it’s no wonder that in the internet cesspool of right-wing “activism,” misogyny and racism go hand in hand. In fact, right-wing groups like Proud Boys capitalize on misogynistic and sexually frustrated/insecure men because they’re ripe for the recruiting into a big group of guys who definitely aren’t wanking. It’s called “sexual suppression” and it was used by the Nazis to control and exploit their ranks.
At the same time, many of the men who identify with extremist misogynist and racist ideologies are terrified of the “falling birthrate” amongst white people. My question is, if you’re so intent on making babies, wouldn’t it help to hate the people who birth them a little bit less? Then they might want to hang out with you, perhaps even procreate, but probably not. Luckily for human evolution, most of these guys are wasting away on reddit threads not wanking themselves to death. They’re busy waiting for a super hot, successful, submissive, sexually-skilled virgin who’s attracted to losers who hate women to sweep them off their feet. Only then will they come.
Our culture defines dominance as the superior quality of the superior species. But what does that even mean? Sure, men are physically stronger than women in general. But what about the generational fortitude women have developed over centuries of enduring violence and persecution both inside and outside their homes? Your great great grandmother probably went through unspeakable abuse and yet she survived because here you stand. That’s a testament to her strength.
And if women’s bodies hold the key to our very existence as a species, are women not the real dominant ones? Hence the continued legal assault on women’s bodily autonomy by governments led by men, endeavoring to control when, where, and how we procreate. If men were truly dominant, would it take so much coercion and control to keep women in check? Previous generations of women didn’t just “submit” to men, they were forced to through laws that stripped them of their innate human rights, and those women who deviated from said laws were tortured and murdered. Sounds like weak men afraid of losing control.
Does this all sound like a sick joke? Unfortunately, it’s not. There are real-world consequences to the landfill of misogynistic and racist thinking many desperately insecure men are turning to for comfort. They’re projecting their insecurities and social issues onto women and people of color because apparently accountability isn’t in their vocabulary.
