Watch the Eternal Fire Burn on BESTIAL MOUTHS “Our Souls take”

Not gonna lie – when I hit play on this new video from BESTIAL MOUTHS for their song “Our Souls Take,” chills spread throughout my body. I think it’s because – after centuries of our magick being burned, beaten, and banished out of us – women are rediscovering the eternal fire that burns in our souls, and the innate power that we’re able to tap into when we accept it. We’re naturally in communion with the life force that radiates from all things, and the cycles of the moon, planets, stars, and earth. My own body’s cycle is synced to the moon, so for everyone reading this, just know that every New Moon, Meghan from CVLT Nation’s period starts. The fact of our connection to forces beyond the control of men has driven men crazy for millennia, resulting in restrictive laws meant to keep us inside, quiet, and on either our father’s or our husband’s or our son’s leash, lest we’re driven mad by our own power and start doing something crazy like insisting on self-determination or ask something crazy like, what if God is a woman? “Our Souls Take” is set to a short film directed by Tas Limur, and we’re so excited to share its visual majesty with you today! It’s off their album RESURRECTEDINBLACK that came out in mid-2020 via RUNE & RUIN Records and can be ordered here. Bestial Mouths is also announcing a new remix album called THOUSANDNEEDLES, featuring collaborations with Adult, SRSQ, Ash Code, Light Asylum, and more.

Present, past and future—our souls encompass all aspects of time, cycling through aspects in our boratic ekstasis. Let us honor this process, in each element of this Aspect.

Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey.
