Ok, so this is the type of shit that is so out there, inverted, and senseless that – other than on these recordings – it pretty much exists only in your most lucid and fucked up nightmares. BLACK EARTH are an unbelievably disembodied and hideous experiment in aural torment that will find true appreciators only among fans of the most sadistic and gratuitously vile forms of musical experimentalism. There is literally nothing in Black Earth’s music that is even remotely meant to provoke any kind of pleasure…
This is music that reaches with its cold and lurid hands inside your most remote fears and phobias and then just starts taunting, and pulling, and yanking on your synapses, causing you seizures, spams and all kinds of other fucked up forms of bodily torment. “Blackened noise” doesn’t even begin to describe the plight that is this “music.” This is true denial in aural form. Real fucking musical bedlam. The end of all things that have shape and meaning and the beginning of all of those untold things that are shapeless, formless, lawless and utterly horrifying. Take Sutekh Hexen, Wold, Gnaw Their Tongues, T.O.M.B., Enbilulugugal, Deathroes, (you get it) and all that is endlessly wretched and disfigured in the world of “drumless and dreamless” music and abstract black metal/electronics splicings, multiply it by a billion colossal black holes, and you will be in proximity of the gargantuan sonic TORMENT that is Black Earth…
Endless trenches of scorching and skin-peeling high frequencies steeped in a superstructure of imploding demonic power electronics chaos, and then crushed by the abhorrent gravity of an infernal imploding black (metal) star – a spectacle in sonic denial and in the exercise of materializing non-existence, or complete disintegration in sonic form that you will not be able to witness anywhere else. Fine DIY cassette presentations of this monstrous work can be found through In Solace Publishing (a wonderful new entity for absurd sonic rituals in analog form that you should keep your eyes and ears upon) at this location, while CDs can be tracked down through Malignant Records at this location. When and if hell ever descends on earth, this will be the soundtrack. You’re welcome.
