Ultraviolence: Behind the Scenes Photos of ‘A Clockwork Orange’

Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange is one of the most disturbing movies I watched as a youth. Now that my kids are getting older, it’s almost time for me to ruin their sense of safety with this eerie movie (although they’ll probably tell me it looks “old”). But I want them to see this commentary on the violence of man and state, one derided and the other justified. This dystopic projection of wartime PTSD onto future generations who will satisfy their violent tendencies in video games. And then maybe they’ll dress up like the Droogs with me for Halloween.

If you’re a fan of this 1971 psychological thriller, then you’ll enjoy these behind the scenes photos from Kubrick’s set.
