 As with the last Sonic Cathedrals mixtape we did for CVLT Nation, the connecting theme among these songs is atmosphere rather than genre or era. Some of these bands (VUM, In Solitude, True Widow) we’ve been fortunate enough to share a stage with. Others we’ve been listening to for decades. Still others are more recent discoveries and obsessions. Though one song may sound drastically different than the next, they all have a palpable tone or demeanor in common. Somewhere in this dark forest lies the key to our musical hearts.
