If I could listen to one record all year it would be the soon to be released LP by BARST entitled THE ENDEAVOR that comes out on May 18th via Consouling Sounds. I have not heard a record this year that packs the transformative energy that these collection of songs pack! At any given time, this band can shapeshift into something new which allows for total freedom. When I listen to BARST I am inspired to create art of my own because I embrace their sense of creativity. I guess you could call this music experimental, but I call it a 3D sonic portal that represents life itself. I think it’s best if you hear THE ENDEAVOR for yourself so that you can create your own perspective after you hear it. This is a record that I know without a doubt will be at the top of our end of year list for 2018, but more importantly than that, I know that this is a record that will be a part of our lives for many years to come, which makes it priceless.
