Hear the Ominous Gloom Wave of SILURIAN “Heroes”

We’re living at a strange time, one that we definitely won’t understand the consequences of for generations. Billionaires are driving an automation revolution behind the scenes that many of us are unaware of. One day we’ll all be confronted with the fact that robots have actually taken over our world. And when they do, will they write songs about love and fear like SILURIAN do? Composer Chris Hector (AHAB) and vocalist Emilia Sherman take their inspiration from shoegaze, new wave, and dream pop, and simply call their music “gloom.” TO me it sounds like music that comes from a new light burning inside a cold body. Their debut record Descenders comes out on June 9th, and you can pre-order it here. Today we’re honored to be sharing their video for the track “Heroes,” so drift into the peaceful melodies of SILURIAN below…

Meghan MacRae grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but spent many years living in the remote woods. Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey. She is co-founder of CVLT Nation.
