Tucson’s Get A Grip has exploded into the southwest punk scene since their inception three years ago. Playing old school punk with threads of crossover, hardcore and skate punk, their relentless pace and energetic, violent live sets has set them in a league only few their age call home. Following two EPs and split with Bedlam, Get A Grip is set to release another split with contemopraries and frequent touring partners, Lemon Grove’s PSO.
Here we debut “Waste of Life,” of Get A Grip’s three contributions to their 2016 promo tape, set for release on August 20th via cassette. Recorded personally by the band, “Waste of Life” is a furious two minute sprint of face-smashing hardcore worth breaking shit to. On the the band’s future, vocalist Gabriel Perez added, “‘Another 7’ is on the way and a good amount of out of town shows will be happening before the end of the year.”
Get A Grip will play a release show with Nosebleed, PSO, Sustivity and Territory in Tucson on August 20th. Their previous discography can be found on Bandcamp.
