Lift Yourself Out of the Grind with the Dream Pop of FLYNT “Time of My Life”

I’m watching the new video from FLYNT for their single “Time of My Life” and it’s got me thinking about how our quest for structure and system has humanity living ass-backward. As Flynt’s dream pop floats through my mind, the images of people perfectly feeding the capitalist machine flash in front of my eyes, and I’m contemplating the cycle of harmonious grind under dictatorial overseer to rebellion and war just seems to repeat over and over again because we refuse to learn a damn thing and instead we idolize the past and condemn the future.

But somehow Flynt, the latest project from multi-instrumentalist Martin Isenberg, has written the perfect song to capture the hope I need to break the cycle in my own life in whatever way I can. The bubbly atmosphere and layered melodies feel like they’re lifting me out of the grind as I write this. “Time of My Life” is off Flynt’s debut EP Introducing Flynt — you can stream it on Spotify and pre-order the cassette on Bandcamp. Right now, check out our exclusive premiere of Flynt’s “Time of My Life” video below…
