44 Shades of Black… Blackout Tattoos by Oddtattooer

Blackout tattoos seem to be the new answer to all those years of accumulated tattoos that just don’t do it for you anymore. Easier than a traditional coverup, and they look better than the faded mess you gave yourself at age 16 with ballpoint pen ink. You can find a ton of examples of mottled, unattractive black blobs out there on the social web, but then there are artists like @oddtattooer, whose blackout work is an art unto itself and not just an easy coverup. Based at Oracle Tattoo in Singapore, Chester takes blackout work to a higher level of artistry, with clean lines, perfectly even coverage and stunning framing. Some of these images of his work have become emblematic of blackout tattoos since he posted them to his instagram. Check out some of his work below!
