What happens when you slip into unconsciousness every night? My dreams often find me searching, hiding, fighting, protecting, running, exploring worlds that I recognize and have never experienced. I’ve always got a group of people who rely on me to save them from something or someone. There’s always someone who’s lost that I need to find, and someone who’d do my loved ones harm that I need to defeat. They’re rarely peaceful, but I remember moments of peace from them. Listening to Warped Dreamer is like living inside the soundtrack to one of my dreams; it’s disorienting and difficult and blissful all at once. This project features a lineup of Belgian heavy-hitters: Stian Westerhus, Arve Henriksen, Jozef Dumoulin, and Teun Verbruggen, and the sounds they create reflect their individual sonic masteries.
