We humans have such limited senses. Our world is what’s immediately around us, what we can see and smell and hear and taste and touch. We forget that beneath our feet, beneath our “foundations,” are the actual foundations of this planet. The thousands of miles of soil, water, stone, and magma that move to their own rhythm and exist on their own timeline. We are so insignificant.
