I can’t lie, the stresses of the world have been weighing on me. When this happens, I always seek out music that will help me transcend what’s going on around me. UUR’s new self-titled tape that has been released by Breathe Plastic Records does just that. This cosmic psychedelic doom band has manifested one of the best albums of 2019! They are outside of the hype machine, so they might be overlooked, but I am here to tell you that every minute of this tape is a spaceship to another reality that I don’t want to get off of! While writing this, I have been experiencing chills because their music is so moving and epic. I can’t say enough about how happy we are to be sharing with you the new UUR visual for their song “Bijgoochem.” Jump on board an UUR riff and allow yourself to float off into space (order their tape HERE).
Uur – Uur The reincarnation of Dresden/Leningrad, Uur, is here to transcend the tragedy that is modern life. An offering of 4 tracks of heavy doom with psychedelic influences, the music on this record is about dealing with everyday ‘ghosts’; negative sentiments, wasted energies, feeling powerless and repeating rituals that lead to outcomes we already knew.
This inspired @joost.vervoort_artwork to paint a hungry ghost as artwork for this album, which, in turn, inspired us to provide our listeners with a special present so they can wield off anything negative. This little black package will only be included with the special VHS edition and is stamped with the Breathe Plastic seal. It consists of an Abalone shell, white sage and a piece of Palo Santo wood.
