Public bathrooms sometimes remind me of Pre-Historic caves because of the way humans love to to leave their mark behind with graffiti, stickers or other sorts of scrawl. In certain places in NYC, like Max Fish, I loved taking a piss so I could stare at all of the tags on the wall. The other day, I came across this interesting Japanese instagram called Japanese Heavy Metal Toilet that documents shit tanks all across the country. I dig it because of all of the rad flyers and stickers that are on view. In their own way, these restrooms have become heavy metal time capsules and have captured underground history.
