Who are the WILD BUNCH? They were a multi-racial/multi-subculture crew from Bristol that started in the mid-’80s. Imagine a bunch of Hip Hop Heads, Dancehall and Dub Lovers, Graph Writers, Skaters, and Punks coming together to create all sorts of art. More than anything, WILD BUNCH championed sound system culture and even performed with Crass. This crew gave birth to Massive Attack, Tricky, Soul to Soul, and the super producer Nellee Hooper. I can’t even begin to say how important these individuals have been in shaping British Dance music. Check out this rad documentary that sheds light on this historic UK collective THE WILD BUNCH!
