Off-kilter and totally on point are the words that come to mind as I blast the new THE RED SCARE anthology Smoky Mountain High that is being released via Solid Brass Records (release date Friday 6/14). Emo Hardcore adjacent music came into my life in the early 2000s when I was at a low point in my life. That being said, it was this sound that helped me heal and find new reasons to stay on this planet. As I listen to THE RED SCARE’s music, I can hear and feel the chaos in their music. It’s rad how Hardcore became something different that allowed people to open up about their true feelings! Join us as we celebrate this band’s legacy with a stream of their song ““Sequenced For Explosion” I want THE RED SCARE to know that their musical impact on the underground is still being felt until this very day, and I’m so fucking happy to be alive to see it!
