Today I dove into the world of cosmetic subdermal implants. While I’m fascinated by body modification, something about seeing sharply raised shapes emerging from people’s faces, heads, hands, arms, chests, and more really makes my skin crawl. I think Alien scarred me as a kid. The silicone shapes I’ve seen people implant range from simple shapes like circles, balls, and stars to more complex shapes, like vulva. Yes, someone got a silicone vulva implant on their hand. There’s a photo of it below. It’s a statement. I haven’t actually met someone with subdermal implants in real life, so I don’t know what my reaction would be in person. To each their own, I guess.
