Doom

Space rock meets synth doom in VAISSEAU “Force Macabre: From Deep Space, Down to the Styx”

VAISSEAU (French for “space shift”) make something called synth doom, and I think I love it. It’s wild and weird and light and heavy all at the same time. They’ve combined some of my favorite genres to make tunes that I want to get stoned and dance to in the dark while wearing a shimmering space jumpsuit. They’ve got a new album coming out on March 13th called Horrors Waiting In Line, and no surprise it’s going to be released by one of my favorite labels, Totem Cat. Not only is the music expansive and magical, they commissioned the cover art from the immensely talented Jason Barnett. Today we’re excited to bring you the track “Force Macabre: From Deep Space, Down to the Styx”, and stay tuned to Totem Cat’s web shop for pre-order info coming soon!
