Anna Mond has mastered the art of movement in painting. Her subjects are milliseconds away from flying off of the canvas, bursting with joy! In a way, Mond’s artwork reminds me of a full-color, psychedelic version of the Danse Macabre. I imagine these paintings being created in some sort of passionate frenzy, flinging paint and flicking brushes. At some point, the subjects are far enough along that their laughter and screams start to burst from the canvas. Mond works in acrylics and oils on wood, and she doesn’t have an online shop and instead takes orders via DM on her Instagram. I’ve put together some of her recent pieces below, so enjoy the wild and wonderful fantastical beings created by Anna Mond!
