When Meghan told me that seeing Angel Du$t live would be “grimier than the record,” I really did not understand the gravity of that statement… until it LITERALLY hit me in the face in the form of a helmet-clad stage diver who hucked their meat straight into my frontal lobe at an appropriately sweaty and punk-as-fuck show in June at Elsewhere’s Zone One in Brooklyn.
I knew I had to get to this show as soon as I saw Gouge Away was support, and the furious crew predictably tore the place to pieces. But Angel Du$t and their clearly devoted and devastatingly violent fans came out swinging from the first chord. And as with anyone who has the fortune to see the boys do their thing live, I left the show stunned at the intensity of their performance, and with a completely new outlook (and devotion) to AD$.
After being recently named as support for a tour featuring the likes of Rancid, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies and more, the days when you can see them in small, sweaty venues may soon be numbered. Check out the pics below, and for upcoming Angel Du$t tour dates click here.
