SEE: AMIGO THE DEVIL, KING DUDE, AND TWIN TEMPLE IN SAN FRANCISCO, CA

A trio of dark vocal-oriented projects, Amigo the Devil, King Dude, and Twin Temple performed at San Francisco’s Slim’s concert venue this past October 31st, 2019.

TWIN TEMPLE

Satanic doo-wop from Los Angeles. Led by the duo of Alexandra James and Zachary James, with a full live band. Chants of “Hail Satan!” with the audience, blood rituals, and some sexy saxophone accompanies their catchy throwback sound.

KING DUDE

Thomas Jefferson Cowgill’s darkly spiritual folk music project King Dude is minimal in approach, most of the time. Acoustic guitar and keyboards serve as the foundation. This time a percussionist added some deep electronic booms and tambourine to the mix on select tracks.

AMIGO THE DEVIL

Amigo the Devil is a one-man band that combines the catchiness of sea shanties with darkly comic folk music and a wry sense of humor. This evening, the performed was dressed as “Ursula” from The Little Mermaid in celebration of Halloween.
