Studs, Drugs and Blood… Punk Painter John John Jesse

Former NAUSEA member John John Jesse’s  paintings are like punk pinups. He takes the classic pinup sexiness and throws in studs, drugs and blood, and the result is amazing. There is so much to absorb in each painting; each stroke of his brush brings texture leaping off the canvas. His subjects are lovingly rendered in all their rebellious glory, FTW and free love. Check out a gallery of his work below…you can buy his work direct from him ( punkpigpen@gmail.com ) in NYC, and follow him on Tumblr here.

Meghan MacRae grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but spent many years living in the remote woods. Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey. She is co-founder of CVLT Nation.
