Punk As Fuck! Check Out These Killer Upcoming Releases On NO NORMS RECORDS

Boston’s No Norms Records has been an essential go-to for punk, Oi!, and hardcore records since their inception in 2021, especially for those of us in the States who would otherwise pay an arm and a leg to have these albums shipped from overseas.

In addition to carrying the finest the genre has to offer, No Norms began life as a label with its first release in early 2022, cementing itself as one to watch with output from bands like INGRATES, S.O.H., and MISERY WHIP.

For the remainder of this year, No Norms has an insane lineup of slated upcoming releases, all of which deserve your time and space on your turntable. Bookmark this article, save this flyer, whatever you need to do to remember to pick these up because you won’t want to miss out!

BOTTLED VIOLENT – No Rules 7″ EP * – Out Now

Indonesia’s BOTTLED VIOLENT play short sharp bursts of hardcore indebted to the 80’s US scene amongst other influences (hence the name in homage to MINOR THREAT). Check out the clean and frantic guitar tones on this thing, so good!

*Released w/ Bollock Records, Resolve Records, Todo Roto Records, Tvmbalavalla Records, Wrecking Crew Records, Korc Edicions

S.O.H. – Cost To Live LP * – Release Date 9/18

S.O.H. (SYSTEM OF HATE) have become one of L.A.’s hottest bands (and most photogenic, I’ve been seeing them all over social media) and rightfully so. Their brand of straight-ahead UK82 with a metallic edge and vicious vocals makes for a thrilling listen, and after their “Life On Edge” tape (No Norms first release) I’m stoked to get my hands on this slab. Also, check out that album artwork, damn!

*Released w/ Shitkicker Records

GOSSIP COLLAR – Spinning Silk For Parasites LP – Release Date 10/15

No Norms compares GOSSIP COLLAR to SKELETAL FAMILY and PARALIS PERMANENTE, two bands I’m admittedly not too familiar with. What I hear is creeping deathrock that sounds at times like TUBEWAY ARMY or OH SEES at their more experimental. In other words a perfectly goth-tinged soundtrack for the coming cold months.

WET SPECIMANS – Dying In A Dream 7″ EP * – Release Date 10/18

More haunting deathrock, this time with a much harder edge. Albany’s WET SPECIMANS defy genre; equal parts goth post-punk and hardcore punk, the band perfectly melds their breakneck playing with the desperate and echoing vocals making for a unique sound. Check out “Curtain Call” on their bandcamp to hear what I mean!

*Released w/ Brain Slash Records
