As the world is spinning on an axis of hate, I have plugged myself into the world of the Jakob Battick & Tongue Depressor collab album Raise the Dead (pre-order it HERE). I’m really impressed with the slow-moving gothic anthem “Reek of Resurrection” created by these two. Jakob’s smooth and captivating vocal style puts your whole existence into their world of anguish. Tongue Depressor’s drone-driven soundscapes are a perfect foundation for Jakob’s vocal delivery. This is not only a record that is to be heard, it is also a record that must be felt. I’m super stoked to share the anthem “Reek of Resurrection” with y’all below. Thank you, Jakob Battick & Tongue Depressor, for manifesting sad music that makes me happy!
