Drainage is a raging noise rock band straight out of Long Beach, and they’re here to hunt you down with their ominous riffs and addictive groove. They’ve got a new EP coming out on October 11th called The Younger // Older You, and we’re super stoked to be premiering it in full today! They’re aiming for a sense of unease with this EP, and I’d say they’ve achieved it with the echoing screams and melancholic tones. Black Voodoo Records and Midnite Collective have teamed up to release it and you can pre-order it here. This Friday 10/11 Drainage has an album release party at Que Sera in Long Beach, more info here! Right now, listen to our full stream of The Younger // Older You below…
We recorded the EP with Erol Ulug at Bright Lights Studio. The Younger // Older You focuses on self-doubt, specifically your decision making abilities. There’s these points in life where you think you know yourself and are self-aware and then realize that maybe you haven’t been using the best process for making important life decisions. It’s not a comfortable realization to have, and the music reflects that unease.
