It’s been a long road of punk and chaos for the players in supergroup FEAR OF THE KNOWN. Their outfit spans generations and continents, hailing from the likes of UK punk heroes DISORDER and CHAOS UK to more recent Minneapolis crust lords WAR//PLAGUE — and this round doesn’t miss either. 15 slamming tracks of pure hardcore punk fury from the best in the business illustrate the immediacy of the times, the necessity of rebellion and the counter-productivity of division.
As we slowly but surely tumble towards World War III, none see the future on the horizon better than those who have been trying to tell us for decades. Every song on this album has a perfect blend of UK ’82 street punk, melodic crust melodies, and ripping anarcho anthems for heads of all stripes. In our current techno-dystopia, FOTK has taken full advantage of advances in music production and has never come together in person to rehearse, mix, or anything. They’re a purely transcontinental remote band, which you would never know by listening considering the sheer amount of cohesion and power in their output. We hope one day they can arrange some tours and give us live what they’ve given us distantly.
