While listening to this song, I can’t help but think about the unholy treatment that Indigenous People and African People have endured at the hands of European people for centuries. How religion has been used to justify the torture and genocide of fellow human beings. How the same people who torture and rape and destroy cultures ask for mercy and absolution when it comes time to harvest the hate they’ve sewn.
