Exclusive Premiere: SKYEATER “Anticosmogony”

When I first heard the name SKYEATER, I immediately thought of Tibetan Sky Burials – the Tibetan ritual of placing human remains out in the elements to be eaten by vultures. This may have had absolutely no bearing on the band’s choice of name, but when I hit play on their new album The Maw of Time, it was like hearing the soundtrack to the vultures’ feast on corpse meat. Today we’re excited to bring you a stream of one of the haunting tracks from this album, entitled “Anticosmogony,” featuring guest vocals by Laurie Shanaman (Ails, Ex-member of Ludicra). The Maw of Time will be up for pre-order soon via Baneful Genesis Records here. For now, pull up a video of a Tibetan Sky Burial, turn off the sound, hit play on “Anticosmogony” and tell me I’m wrong…
