In the limbo between science fiction and erotica exists the unsettlingly beautiful artwork of Gilles Rimbault. In the 60s, his illustrations were featured in French science fiction magazines Galaxie and Fiction, but the works below are from another realm of strange and grotesque. He morphs the organic into the outergalactic, the human with the animal, creating bizarre, half-formed chimeras that seem to be fading into the fog.
