Ride the New Wave of Dreamy Jangle Pop! VELVET CATHEDRAL “no take backs”

Last year, Sean wrote a feature on 5 post-punk bands to blow your mind, and one of them was VELVET CATHEDRAL. Fast forward a year and we’re extra happy that their amazing record Think About It is getting a cassette release via Summer Darling Tapes — order it here. This dreamy band mixes coldwave electronics and fuzzy jangle-pop melodies into a post-punk flavored shoegaze potion that will make you float into the sonic clouds! If you want to experience how adept they are at raising the vibration while they layer your mind with ethereal fuzz, then you need to watch their new video for “no take backs.” Do that below…

VELVET CATHEDRAL is a project that should be embraced by the world and I hope they receive the shine they deserve! You can blast “think about it” in any sort of weather and the sun will come out! If I had the money or time to release their vinyl I would and I hope someone with the means does!

Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey.
