Today I want to share a song I’ve been mesmerized by for days! It’s from TERROR BIRD, the solo darkwave project of London/Vancouver’s Nikki Nevver. Her single “Brilliant Things” featuring Subterranean Lovers is a nostalgic and melancholic dark pop ballad set to striking technicolor visuals. It’s a song to fall back on and daydream to; a tune that’s preparing me to enjoy the dark, rainy days ahead. Terror Bird’s version is an almost psychedelic, guitar-driven tune, but she also released a second darkwave version of “Brilliant Things” on the new Odonis Odonis record ICON, and both tracks are equally captivating.
