For six years Desert Daze fest has steadily grown and its lineup with it, bringing legendary bangers and plenty of local Californian blood. This year’s fest looks to be the best yet and if you’re a regular Cvlt reader, you’ll probably be most interested in acts such as Earth, Chelsea Wolfe, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Death Grips, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Earthless, Wand, Shellac, True Widow, A Place To Bury Strangers, Sextile and Malcolm Mooney, the first vocalist from Krautock pioneers CAN. While it takes a certain kind of person to hang out in the desert for 3 days choosing which massive bands to sleep through and which to ensure consciousness for, rest assured there’s enough to go around as you chill on Moreno Beach recounting these waning apocalyptic summer days, finally free from the smoke of a million acres of forest fires and whatever deathly perforations are still left in your liver from living it up this summer.
