I’m being carried away on shimmering synths riding on the back of a chasmic electric hum as I listen to DARK RECOLLECTION, a new darkwave project from Grave Infestation’s Anju Singh and Graham Christofferson. They’ve released their first single, “Death Angel,” and it’s a melancholy serenade to the kind of death and destruction and soul-taking that usually inspires heavy metal, but works so well with the eerie, enchanting vocals on this track. They’ve released “Death Angel” on cassette via Neon Taste Records here, and I’m already stoked to hear more based on how captivating this first single is! Check it out here and stay tuned for more…
Into the skies wide open, dives
Hearing the silence broken, cries
Stalking the skies wings open, in flight
Draw of the souls evoking, ending life
When the seas are pried open
When the deep bleeds bile
When the grounds are broken
When the skies pour vile
I will demand the violence
I will demand to see the one… who serves
I will demand the violence
I will demand to be the one who eats your soul
Remember the skies won’t open, dies
Listen with eyes wide open, cries
In the siege of violence
Under the seal of liar’s oath
It has revealed alliance
Under a plea done to save your soul
I will defeat the ocean, I will be the one to eat your soul
Under the seas, they’ve spoken, they will be the ones to eat your soul
