GOG creates music that gets into your mind and swims alongside your brainwaves, infiltrating your conscious thoughts and replacing them with strands of piercing sounds. So it makes sense that their video for “Until The Body Runs Dry” off their self-titled 2014 release does the same thing with images. Watching this video, I’m sure that there’s a deeper meaning to it, but not one that I can immediately grasp. It needs time to seep into my retinas, travel down my optical nerve and absorb into my braincells, and then my unconscious will bloom into understanding.
