CVLT Nation Unveils Album Artwork for LESBIAN’s ‘Hallucinogenesis’

Doom warlords LESBIAN have a new album on the way, and today we’re stoked to reveal the artwork for Hallucinogenesis crafted by the legendary Dan Seagrave. This artwork is stunning, and only makes me more stoked for this release! Hallucinogenesis hits the streets on August 26th via Translation Loss Records. Read what Dan Seagrave has to say about his work on the record below, and stay tuned for more LESBIAN premieres in the near future…

I was first intrigued by the forestelevision record, from that I had the impression that the bands next album would be something tangential, and slightly askew from the metal scene. With psychedelic themes, and monumental scale tracks. Sure enough the brief for the visuals opened the door for a world of elaborate chaos to unfold. the approach was both surrealistic, and multidimensional in its ethereal scope. With a seismic sense of the hallucinogenic. The world is inverted into dream state layers of exposed history. Ice ages, the cretaceous, and future evolution come together in an overlapping timescape. all seemingly infected by the monolithic pyramid forms.
