#9 KRUELTY Profane Usurpation
If you check our resume, then you know that we have championed KRUELTY from day one and will continue to because they are still gnarly AF! Nothing has changed with their debut release on Closed Casket Activities, Profane Usurpation, our respect for their sonic brutality has only grown tenfold. This record is an exercise in audio intensity that elevates this band above all weak hearts!
#8 TORENA No Control
TORENA’s No Control is so rad that every time I listen to it, I can’t stop smiling! I’m addicted to their feral bursts of melody that bleeds out of every song! Real talk, they have manifested a collection of songs that are all KILLER with NO FILLER! One wish that I have for 2025 is that I get to see TORENA perform live, because I’m ready to lose my shit! DAZE has only proven they are at the forefront of the Hardcore community by releasing No Control!
#7 CLIQUE Communique
Dear CLIQUE,
This is my letter of solidarity to let y’all know what your band means to me and to the underground as a whole! Straight up, y’all should know that your EP Communique is beyond sick AF! This is a collection of Blistering Hardcore anthems to aim at our downpressors, and for that, you have my unyielding respect! As musicians, CLIQUE manifests tunes filled with righteous rage that speak for those who don’t have a voice! Big tunes like “Future Denied” make me know I’m not alone in seeing through the shit stem that has fucked over our people for years.

#6 JUICE Festival Of Fools
I have to keep it 100% REAL — JUICE‘s Festival of Fools via WAR Records slaps hard AF! Their sound takes me back to 1983 when I saw our hometown squad Suicidal Tendencies perform War Inside My Head for the first time, and we all lost our shit! Everything about Festival of Fools is on point, from the scathing HUGE breakdowns to the lyrics to the chunky riffs to the we don’t give a fuck attitude that this band exemplifies from the first song, “Victim Of The Psychic War.” I want to salute everyone who made this record possible, because the world needs to hear tunes like this. JUICE has something to say and I’m all fucking ears, and so should you be as well! Festival of Fools is an album that is 777% killer and no fucking filler.

#5 LICE World Of Greed
What band has me saying, this is SICK AF? What band has me saying, damn, I hope they get all of the shine that they deserve? What band has me saying, I can’t stop listening to their new record because it’s all that and then some. The band that has me losing my shit on the daily is LICE, and their EP World Of Greed that is out on BE ABOUT IT RECS. Yeah, y’all should already know that this is one of my favorite Hardcore releases of 2024. One of the major reasons is because they are not on some pie-in-the-sky bullshit, instead they tackle issues that we all go through. Lyrically and vocally, this band is next level RAW, and on the musical tip, they are straight FIRE! All you have to do is blast their gnarly AF tune “Prevention of Peace” to hear for yourself why I’m hooked on this crew of creative humans! LICE creates Hardcore that comes from their lived experiences, and I have nothing but respect for that. As I listen to tunes like “Parasite,” I feel empowered to love myself and defend my energy! If you asked me to find a flaw in World Of Greed, I would tell you that it would be impossible, because LICE killed every moment of this EP. I know when I hear a band that is about to blow up, and this band is just that! Before I let y’all go, just know that LICE amplifies their passion and creative confidence on every tune, and it’s so infectious!
#4 CANDY It’s Inside You
Hell Fucking yes, CANDY‘s It’s Inside You out on Relapse Records slaps HARD AF!!! From the very first song, “eXistenZ,” I realized that it would be one of my favorite Hardcore Releases of 2024 because this band creates all-out RAGE MUSIC! Listening to them is like being trapped in an industrial apocalyptic machine on full blast! Imagine if Atari Teenage Riot decided to manifest the sickest Hardcore record ever, the outcome might come close to It’s Inside You.
CANDY are creative humans who aren’t afraid of showing their love for Jungle and other forms of electronic music which makes me even more of a fan. Their anthems of fury are layered feral soundscapes that are complex like a sonic rubrics cube! The song “Love Like Snow” is beyond awesome and I love that they are willing to show another side of themselves musically. CANDY also molds melodies into shapes of audio torment and drags the listener into their world.

#3 PORCUPINE All is Vapor
One word that comes to mind as I blast Porcupine’s All Is Vapor is fucking remarkable! This band has created a Hardcore album that reeks of creative freedom while remaining punishing as FUCK! All you have to do is bump their title track, “All Is Vapor,” and you will hear for yourself that this band is on some next-level shit when it comes to songwriting! “CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE” is a song that takes me places and I fucking love it! I know when I hear a special band that is pushing their genre forward and I can say with 100% honesty that Porcupine is one of those bands. All is Vapor is one of those records that should be played over and over so that you can experience the brilliance and decode all of the sonic layers. Respect is due to New Morality Zine for releasing one of my favorite Hardcore Records of 2024.
#2 SPEED ONLY ONE MODE
SPEED is RAW AF, and if you didn’t know that, Only One Mode will show you that! Unholy hell yes, I can’t wait for the day that I can see this band live. I know for fact that SPEED’s music inspires people around the world to stand on what they believe is right. I want to say thank you to the whole Flatspot Records crew for releasing such an outstanding record. To SPEED, just know that CVLT Nation will always bump y’all’s shit!
#1 CONTENTION Artillery From Heaven
We all know that the world is a fucked up place right about now, which is why releases like CONTENTION’s Artillery From Heaven mean so much to me. This Hardcore is Gnarly AF but it’s their surges of empathy that have me hooked! I can feel my rage at the world in their riffs and vocal delivery. I want the band to know that we totally get where they are coming from. I need to get CONTENTION’s Artillery From Heaven on vinyl, or better yet I need them to play the PNW. This kick-ass record is out now on DAZE.
