Creepy Crawly Night Things…Birds n Bones Jewelry

Some of my favorite pieces in my personal jewellery collection are inspired by the natural world, animal and mineral. There are many companies that pump out nature-inspired pieces, skull after skull, but there are only a few that take their inspiration seriously and pay tribute to the creatures who share our planet. Birds n Bones new collection, ENTOMOLOGY, turns their focus from tooth and talon onto the creepy, crawly night things that live in dark corners everywhere. They’ve made a stunning line of rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets that feature twigs and the insects that perch on them, like the darkling beetle, pincher beetle, rhino beetle and weevil, all cast in sterling silver and adorned with precious stones. Each piece is hand crafted with intention and integrity by the two artisans behind this awesome company. All of the pieces are available starting today on Birds n Bones page on the CVLT Nation Bizarre here, and on their own site here.

Meghan MacRae grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but spent many years living in the remote woods. Living in the shadow of grizzly bears, cougars and the other predators of the wilderness taught her about the dark side of nature, and taught her to accept her place in nature's order as their prey. She is co-founder of CVLT Nation.
