DEAD REGISTER makes the most sweetly depressing rock. The kind of tunes that make me want to sink back into an old chair and just sit and weep in the dark while their groovy gothic post-punk washes over me. Today we’re lucky to be sharing a video for their track “Old Flame” that was filmed live at Private Press Shirt Co. It’s an ode to that cloying nostalgia that threatens to pull you back from ever reaching your future, something I imagine most of us would be familiar with. Between the impassioned vocals and the heartbreaking melodies, I feel like this song is digging some skeletons out of my heart’s closet. It’s off their record Alive which came out earlier this year via Seeing Red Records and you can get it here. Check out “Old Flame” below, plus make sure to check out their tour that starts October 20th.
