It’s the time of year where I start to get random Christmas cards from co-workers, second cousins, in-laws, and bank employees. Perfectly staged family portraits meant to showcase the unique personalities of every member, or a coordinated effort to appear as a matching collective, or a random vacation picture. I usually have my own private moment of appreciation when they show up in the mail, and then another moment of minimal guilt that I didn’t, for another year, and never will, make the effort to send out the same season’s greeting to anyone. But looking at these legendary family Christmas cards shared by Awkward Family Photos is making me reconsider my slacker attitude to what could be a highly entertaining exercise. Nude dads, hobo clown parents, mullets and sunglasses, 90s glamour shots — so many inspiring ideas. Maybe next year. For now, I’ll enjoy these:
