Shaun Ringsmuth has been making noise in the Austin underground for the better part of a decade with STREET SECTS but has recently turned his attention to solo endeavors with his hardcore experimental project LUVENCIE. After multiple tragedies in his personal life and a years-long struggle with mental health, he’s been able to turn grief into beauty like a road-worn sound alchemist. Today he drops a track with Cvlt featuring vocals from Otay:onii of ELIZABETH COLOUR WHEEL. The track features eerie evocations reminiscent of a manic baptist spiritual before plunging the listener into an onslaught of ballistic percussion and ringing envelopes before finally establishing some chordal cohesion underscored by a nonstop, breath-stealing kick. The desperation is as abundant as the aggression but concludes with an all-too-familiar lament of confusion.
