Experience the Emotion Driven Post-Hardcore ABANDONCY ‘Assailable//Agonism’

What does the new Abandoncy album Assailable//Agonism sound like to me? It sounds like one huge abstract can of sonic awesomeness! Okay, imagine if The Birthday Party decided to form a super group with Fugazi. The final outcome would sound sort of like this project. I can’t front, this band kicks out some seriously angular Noise Rock-infected Post Hardcore jams but they also do way more than just that. As I blast their tune “Battle Axe,” another band that creeps into my brain is Lungfish. What I’m trying to say is that Abandoncy is on some next-level business that makes me more of a fan with each listen.

More than how this album sounds, I really need to tell y’all how this record makes me feel. “I Am Not a Gun” is a song that is helping see the light that is around when my inner self is wracked with grief! Immersing myself in the world of Abandoncy makes me feel like freedom is more than a word, it’s an emotion! This project has the power to invoke clarity into your reality as madness is happening around you. The unhinged angst within their music actually is helping me get over my anxiety! Make sure to hit up @tgic_recs, @learningcurverecords, and @vinarecords for the Assailable//Agonism vinyl!
