Hardcore

HC HC HC! CHOPPING BLOCK’s ‘Seattle’s Hardcore’ EP Is A Huge Sonic Beatdown!

Intense – Urgent – Stomping – Groovy – Beatdowns – Bonkers – Passionate – Reflection are some of the words that come to mind as I blast the new EP from Seattle’s CHOPPING BLOCK whose record FUCKING KNOCKS HARD. Every second of this sonic affair will have you saying that this band is on their A-Game. There is no way not to notice that this band is on a mission to kick out some HC Jams that would truly stand the test of time. The songwriting on Seattle’s Hardcore is top freaking notch meaning not one riff is wasted. Vocally and lyrically, they have something to say and it comes through loud and clear. As I blast “Closer,” I can’t help but envision me and my daughter at their upcoming Vancouver show losing our minds! What trips me out about this band is how they can perfectly balance Modern-day HC with the fury of ’80s HC. Once you hear their song “Figure It Out” you will understand where I’m coming from, and the breakdown in this song is a hook within itself. Yo CHOPPING BLOCK — if y’all read this, just know we are fans over here at CVLT Nation Seattle’s Hardcore is the bomb out now on Brain Floss Records. In the words of Larry June, “GOOD JOB, Yee Hee”

I’ve enjoyed the collaboration on all these songs.
– Alex, Chopping Block

The response to these songs has been amazing already. We’ve been playing them live for the last few months, even through they aren’t released. It’s been really great to see kids rocking out to songs they’ve never heard before. I seriously cannot wait to get this record out.
