I firmly believe In Crust We Trust and I will never allow racism to become a part of our community! This is why 40 years after hearing the first Amebix, Discharge, Zygote, or Disorder records these two genres resonate with me. I got to say that the new SIEGE FIRE album The Devastating Cost is just that PURE FIRE aimed at those that want to do us harm. This band lays down the fucking law on every fucking track! I love their HUGE caustic wall of seething RAGE that is alive in every moment of this album. The lyrics to the title track only prove why I became a fan of this band instantly:

Real talk, the trauma I have experienced or inherited because of white supremacy made Peace Punk a safe space for me growing up. The politics of this genre have always made me feel seen and like I had a voice. That is why bands like SIEGE FIRE and songs like “Endless Graves” speak to me on a deeper level.

Musically, this band has created a collection of Crust anthems that are razor fucking sharp! Some of their tunes have these weird effects that run through them and I can’t enough! I want SIEGE FIRE to know that The Devastating Cost is a part of my healing process but it also gives me the sonic kick in the as to say I will Never Fucking Give UP and Surrendering is not an OPTION!
