There’s not much out there about German artist PAUL KAMM, besides his femdom art created in the 1920s and 1930s. I have seen a lot of femdom and BDSM art from the 20th and 18th centuries, and it’s rare that I come across an artist whose dommes exude such malicious joy in their facial expressions. It’s the gleam in their eyes and the arch of their brows. And the abject fear in the faces of their submissives — in a genre where many times, the submissive man is enjoying serving his mistress. That certainly isn’t the case with Kamm’s work. He’s a master of expression and it draws the viewer in, allowing us to imagine ourselves as the enthusiastic giver or reluctant receiver of pain.
