Their newest tape No End in Sight is all fucking that and then some, real talk! Their sounds are thick with unbridled RAGE that’s pointed at downpressors who want to Fuck our World UP! D-BEAT is protest music and with everything happening in the world right now, songs like “Final Days” hit different.
Don’t it twisted — Los Angeles is the land of palm trees but it’s also home to one of the most racist and violent police forces in the world! These fuckers in blue have been brutalizing People of Color for decades, and they still do to this very day. Here is a real fact: L.A. Police Chief Daryl Gates wreaked havoc on the Socal Hardcore Punx during the 80s and terrorized People of Color during the 80s and 90s. Under his command, the L.A. Pigs beat Rodney King, which led to the L.A. uprising!
These points are important because it gives context to the feral sonic fury you will experience blasting RUINED AGE’s No End in Sight. I can hear our pain and struggle on every track but I also hear that we will never give in, no matter the struggle. Their song “See It Through” says it all — we are not dumb, deaf, and blind so we can see through their bullshit! This band has created one of the most important D-BEAT tapes of the last decade!
