Yasushi Nirasawa (1963–2016) was an artist, sculptor, and model-maker known best for his character design. He worked extensively in television and film on series like Kamen Rider and Garo to create the villains and looking through his portfolio of work it’s clear he had a talent for taking the worst of humanity and making it look cool as fuck. He was also the creator and illustrator behind the manga series Phantom Core and Punishmenter Sodo. Today I want to share some of the most stunning character models I’ve ever seen—kudos to the builders, but the real beauty is the breathtakingly evil sculptures they’re working with!
